This is a male and male only romance story with Ben tennyson and Rook Blonko. if you don't like don't read

Ben hasn’t been showing it but he has been in a sour mood all morning. He isn’t angry or anything he’s just been on edged and stressed from the mystery bad guy, and he was hoping to have a chance to let off some steam at the mall. And of course that didn’t turn out too well.
On the ride to work, Ben was just wanted to have a peaceful moment and just not think but his boyfriend thought it would be best to discuss of what they just learned. That being the creature is a dog that has the abilities or technology to transform into alien predators and that there is someone who is indeed pulling the strings.
‘Great,’ Ben thought sarcastically, ‘can’t wait to see what I’ll dream tonight.’
Yes, the day barley started and his mind was so over worked from stress and worry he was starting to get a small stomachache. But he knew of one sure-fire way that could put his mind back on track. His Grandpa.
Yes Rook is very loving and caring and has even helped Ben relax in his own way. But there are some things that only families know what to do from a lifetime experience, and only his grandpa has ever made him feel better from simple praise alone.
So family time with his grandpa will do him good. Hopefully.

“Humm. I can not remember.”
“Well it makes all the difference.”
“Grandpa!”
Ben couldn’t believe this! Here he wanted attention with his grandfather and his boyfriend stole it! Well not intentionally, it was a question on alien soup or something that turned into an entire short conversation. A natural flow of interaction. But that was beside the point, any other day this would have been fine but not today! Not right now.
“Oh! Sorry sport,” Max said with a smile as he raised a ladle to Ben. “Do you want to try some?”
Ben’s stomach would have turned even if he didn’t have a stomachache.
“Um. No thank you,” he said politely. Max gave a chuckle as he went back to cooking.
Ben’s mind began to race as he tried to think of something that was currently relatable so he could have that same interaction with his grandpa as it was for Rook. But the only thing he could come up with was…
“So, um. These monsters that are after me, it can change alien forms,” Ben said hoping his Grandpa would give his usual good advice. “And it’s got a symbol on it that looks like the Omnitrix.”
“Your gut instincts are usually good Ben. What do you think,” Max asked in encouragement.
“Well…” Ben didn’t plan for that kind of response, but he should have seen it coming. His Grandpa wasn’t just going to give him an answer to an obvious statement, Ben wasn’t 11 anymore he’s 16 and he’s been doing this for six years. He wasn’t stupid he knew this, he just wanted some type of affection from his grandpa.
But it backfired and put him into a corner, now he had to make a choice.
Ben had an answer to the question, it was a very good answer. The only problem is it wasn’t his. He looked in the corner of his eye to see Rook happily chowing down on the soup as Ben’s stomachache began to get worse.
“I was probably thinking we should be more proactive,” Ben’s mouth started talking before he had a chance to stop it, “instead of waiting for the creature to just randomly jump me again we should be trying to find it.” Rook walked up next to him and Ben could read the look on his face asking him silently why he was doing this. Ben walked closer to his grandpa just enough so he couldn’t see Rook as he chest tightened and his stomach worsened. “Maybe we can trick this thing into showing itself. You know lead it out into the open.”
“That’s good thinking Ben,” Max replied with a smile as he turned to him. But the smile quickly turned into concern when he saw Ben. “Hay you okay there, sport? You’re looking kind of sick.”
“I’m fine,” he lied, “really. And thanks for the talk and everything but I have to go do something real quick,” he said in a rush as he started lightly jogging to the exit not looking at his boyfriend. “I’ll see you back at the truck later, Rook!”
He picked up his speed as soon as he was out of their sight, running down the halls and weaving through any bystanders making sure the hover board he was holding didn’t hit anything.
He finally found what he was looking for as he ran into the men’s restroom and locked him-self into a stall. His legs shook as his back rested against the door, taking deep breaths trying to calm his stomach. But it just wasn’t going to happen as he took the position letting his body gave in, emptying what little breakfast he ate.
After he was done, Ben lets body go lax as he just sat there, shameful, thinking about what just happened in the kitchen. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly to him-self. “I’m sorry.”
“Ben?”
“WHO’S THERE!” He shouted defensively.
“It’s me, James,” He answered quickly. “Is everything alright?”
“What do you think,” Ben snapped dryly.
“Sorry. Dumb question,” James said gently.
A moment of silent’s.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asked.
“No,” he spat. “I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to talk to grandpa or Rook or anybody,” he continued as he sat on floor and rested his head on his arms and knees. “I don’t want to do anything.”
“Ben?”
“What,” he replied annoyed.
“Are you going to hurt your-self,” James asked with concern in his voice.
Ben was too stunned to answer, sure he wasn’t going to do that but it was just such an uncommon question to him it threw him off.
“Please. If you are. Don’t,” Ben stayed quiet as he heard the tremble in James’ voice. “I’ve lost my best friend Jessie three months ago because I didn’t know she was cutting her-self. I didn’t even know she was depressed, she was always outgoing and lively. And when she was ever angry she was a force to be recon with,” James then started to lightly chuckle. “This one time in high school, a couple of snotty prep girls managed to tie a little cat toy bell at the end of her long hair, I forgot what they were making fun of her for but Jessie got so mad at them she managed to pull out a nailed down table to throw it at them. I did manage to prevent her from throwing it but look on those girls faces was priceless.”
Ben couldn’t help but smile at the humorous scene described to him, letting James reminisce his friend.
“Jessie didn’t take any lip from anyone,” Ben could hear the soft smile in the sentence.
“I’m sorry,” James said quickly, “I didn’t mean to ramble like that.”
“Don’t be,” Ben said softly after wiping his mouth with toilet paper, “I kinda needed that.”
He then flushed the commode and came out of the stall. There he saw the strange purpled haired Plumber with slightly damped eyes.
“And don’t worry,” He added rolling up his short sleeves, “I’m not that kind of guy.”
James smiled seeing no marks of any kind on his arms.
“So are you okay now?”
“Still feel like crap,” he simply said. “But enough to start thinking of a plan to draw out a possible new member of the ‘I hate Ben 10’ fan club.”
“Anything I can do to help?”
“Can you think of anything that doesn’t require me being used at bait?”
